Arrow prayers

Short prayers shot up to heaven.

Arrow prayers – from the Latin iaculatoria, "javelin, arrow" – are brief prayers lifted to God throughout the day. The Catholic tradition also calls them aspirations. One thought, one breath. You return to God before the screen pulls you back in.

  • Jesus, I trust in You.

    St. Faustina
  • Lord, You know all things. You know that I love You.

    John 21:17
  • Iesu, in te confido.

    Latin tradition

How it works

Three steps to a new rhythm.

  1. Pick your apps

The ones you reach for most often – social media, video, chats, news. You can change them anytime.

  2. Pause for a moment

Before the app opens, PrayCue shows a short arrow prayer. Hold the orb for 8 seconds and pray.

  3. Return to your day

After Amen, or if you tap "Skip", the app opens normally. PrayCue does not block – it invites.

Questions

What if…

What if I skip the prayer?
You tap "Skip the prayer" and the app opens normally. PrayCue does not count skips, does not shame, does not punish. We count only the moments you chose.
Where do the arrow prayers come from?
From traditional Polish prayer books and classic Christian sources – St. Faustina, Padre Pio, the Bible, the Roman Missal. All are in the public domain.
Does PrayCue work offline?
Yes. All prayers are stored locally on your phone. No internet is required to use the app.
Is an iPhone version coming?
We are planning iOS, but Apple does not allow this kind of "before you open an app" mechanism out of the box. We are looking for the best solution within iOS constraints.
Is PrayCue spying on me?
No. The Accessibility Service is used only to detect when you open one of your selected apps. We do not read screen contents, messages, passwords, or app data. Your prayer activity is not sent to our servers.
